Since 1998, SBBD sponsors the Jose Mauro de Castilho (JMC) Award for the Symposium’s best paper. The best paper is presented during the event. This year, the award was given to "A Multi-view Approach for Detecting Non-Cooperative Users in Online Video Sharing Systems", by Hendrickson Reiter Langbehn, Saulo M. R. Ricci, Marcos A.
